National Basketball League at Lugogo:

W: Javon vs. KIU Rangers – 6:00pm

M: City Oilers vs. Falcons – 8:00pm

StarTimes Falcons have already fallen twice this season and the third time may not be far from now.

After losing to Pemba Warriors and Ndejje University Angels in the opening two games of the season, the six time champions take on defending champions City Oilers on Friday as they search for their first win of the season.

In the absence of Ariel Okall, who was their best player last year, Stephen Omony and Joseph Ouma have tried to replicate last season’s good start but in vain.

The departure of Ceaser Kizito to Warriors and the return of Isaac Afidra to his parent club Power haven’t helped matters with the depth of the squad immensely affected.

“There is no need to worry, we shall be formidable soon,” Omony told Kawowo Sports after the team’s loss to Pemba Warriors.

Mandy Juruni’s troops made easy prey of KIU Titans before defeating newly promoted side UPDF Tomahawks to keep their 100% record as they look to lift their fourth straight title since coming to the NBL.

Former Diamonds in the sun head coach Brian Rugyendo has been handed the mantle with Kenyan coach Ben Oluoch rumored to have disappeared in thin air.

In the ladies’ category, newly promoted Javon Ladies will take on KIU Rangers in the first game of the evening.
