Uganda Cranes Up-coming Matches:

  • International Build up: Zimbabwe Vs Uganda – Tuesday, 31st May 2016 (Harare)
  • AFCON 2017 Group D Qualifier: Botswana Vs Uganda – Saturday, 4th June 2016 (Francistown)

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) official advance party arrived in the Zimbabwean capital of Harare on Saturday evening.

Led by the FUFA finance director, Decolas Kizza, the advance party is to enure that the national team, Uganda Cranes settles in amicably when they arrive on Monday morning.

Key of Kizza’s responsibilities is to ensure that the players and accompanying officials are accorded the best reception at the Harare International Airport, checked in to a decent hotel, book training ground and any other logistical assistance therein needed.

The Ugandan team arrives in Harare on Monday morning, barely 24 hours ahead of Tuesday international friendly.

Of the originally summoned 21 players, injury sidelined Becamex Binh Duong winger, Moses Oloya and Colorado Rapids’ Mike Azira opted out citing fatigue.

South African based Yassar Mugerwa has since replaced Azira on the team.

Mugerwa, Tonny Mawejje, Robert Odongkara, Isaac Isinde and Denis Onyango will connect directly from their respective destinations to Harare.

Uganda finds itself in a must win situation for the remaining two Group D AFCON 2017 qualifiers matches against Botswana (away) and Comoros at Nelson Mandela National Stadium.

At the moment, both Burkina Faso and Uganda have each garnered 7 points (the West Africans are only ahead because of superior goal difference).

Botswana is third with six points and Comoros has just three points.
