Zimbabwe forward Nyasha Mushekwi who plays professional football with Chinese Division One side Dalian Yifang has been confirmed out of the international friendly match with Uganda at the Rufaro stadium in Harare on Tuesday.

Mushekwi’s side had a game with Xinjiang Tianshan as they battle for promotion to the top-flight next season and was unable to travel to Africa.

The good news though, is that South African based trio of Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa) and Cuthbert Malajila (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa), Tendai Ndoro (Orlando Pirates, South Africa) have reported barely four hours to the game.

Other professionals, Knowledge (K.V. Oostende, Belgium), Evans Rusike (Maritzburg United, South Africa), Matthew Rusike (Helsingborg IF, Sweden) and Dzikamai Gwaze (Gornik Zabrze, Poland) made the trip.

Zimbabwe can qualify for the Afcon finals for the first time since 2006 if they beat Malawi and Guinea fail to beat Swaziland next weekend.

On the other hand, Uganda Cranes need to win the remaining two matches away Botswana (away) and Comoros in Kampala for a realistic chance of attaining qualification.
