  • At Uganda Golf Club, Kitante – Kampala & Toro Golf Club, Fort Portal

The golfing fraternity has never disappointed their own members in every sphere and project undertaken.

For special fundraising drives to achieve set targets, they have been exceptionally up to the point.

This Saturday, the golfers will take to the course to fund-raise for the Fort Portal based promising golfer Titus Okwong.

One tournament will be played at the Uganda Golf Club, Kitante in Kampala and the other at Toro Golf Club in Fort Portal.

Okwong recently landed a scholarship at the Livingstone College in North Carolina (United States of America) where he expected to embark on a four year educational journey in business administration and management as well as playing golf at the same time.

According to Ian Parker, the Competition and Public Relations secretary, at least $20,000 is needed per year for Okwong in the U.S with sundry expenses estimated at $5000 every year.

Teams will be expected contribute Shs500,000 or donations at any amount

Okwong, 21, is a great golfing prospect who has been a member of the Uganda Golf Team.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
