A $ 50,000 grant from Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) to Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has been channeled to facilitate the remunerations of the youth coaches handling the U-17 clubs.

According to Moses Magogo, the FUFA President, the grant is specifically to help the development of youth football and the U-17 project was deemed fit to directly benefit.

‘We shall be paying for at least one member of the coaching staff for the FUFA Juniors U-17 club this coming season’ Magogo asserts.

There are two groups of teams that play in the Juniors league; the clubs attached to the 16 teams in the elite league and those in the non-league teams.

According to the new activity calendar, the FUFA Juniors will start on 10th September 2016.
