Ugandan international Aucho Khalid won’t be signing a deal with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen Football Club.

The Cranes midfielder has been on trials at the club for a couple of weeks and featured in the friendly game against Arbroath last month but perhaps has failed to fully impress manager Derek McInnes or he isn’t his kind of player.

The Gor Mahia midfielder, who was de-registered by the Kenya Premier League side for the second round of the Kenyan season, was expected to replace departed Willo Flood who re-joined Dundee United but a deal hasn’t happened.

“The deadline for deal or no deal was today (Wednesday),” confirmed Geoffrey Kayemba, his agent. “Now, let’s turn to other offers. There are lot offers in Europe and Africa as well and we expect a deal before the window expires,” he added.

The former Simba and Tusker midfielder is also targeted by ABSA Premiership side Bidvest Wits.
