Tanzania premier giants, Simba Sports Club is in talks with Kenyan club AFC Leopards for a potential move of defender Ramadan Yakubu, a Ugandan.

Yakubu played well when AFC Leopards played against Simba in the Tanzanian club’s match to celebrate another anniversary day as well as unveiling their new signings.

Although AFC Leopards went down 4-0, Yakubu’s overall performance was singled out.

“We are interested in shirt 5,” Simba scout told a Kenyan news agency, Soka East 254.

The move can only take place however, when the transfer window reopens in December 2016.

Yakubu has previously played at Sports club Victoria University and Bright Stars in Uganda.

If it all goes as planned, he is set to join two other Ugandans, Murushid Jjuko and the assistant Coach Jackson Mayanja.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
