Final: Heathens 38-17 Buffaloes

Heathens will go into the final national Sevens circuit with only 3 points separating them from table leaders Kobs.

The Kyadondo outfit made light work of Kobs in the semifinal before tearing Buffaloes apart in the final game to win their first circuit of the tournament.

Philip Wokorach was the man to watch and he didn’t disappoint with his four tries in the semis making up for a rather average performance from Heathens.

Kobs will have themselves to blame after squandering chances in the semis before blunders from Ramathan Govule and Emanuel Ecodu gave Heathens the advantage.

Kobs were playing without injured Michael Amolo, who has been the go-to-guy for the reigning league champions in this championship run.

Tournament hosts Black Pirates, who were celebrating 20 years of existence, could only celebrate with the shield at the end of the event.

Kobs are still top of the table with 76 points after finishing third in Saturday’s event while Heathens, who collected maximum points are now on 73 points.

The last piece of action will see Kobs search for a finals appearance as it will be enough for them to lift the title
