Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin Sredejovic believes this is the time the national team has got to qualify for the African Cup of Nations finals in many years.
Speaking to the media after the Friday evening session at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, Micho called for respect but not over respect of the Comoros ahead of the match.
We shall respect but not over respect the opponent.
They have worked hard to see that they improve their ranking from 200 to 155 and such is the team that we are facing.
All play across Europe. We need to qualify by first thinking about ourselves than them because the nation is hugely expectant.
Throughout the training, the coach stressed the need to finish off the created chances especially from set pieces.
Onyango fitness race:
The worry remains the fitness of first choice goalie Dennis Onyango who worked for close to 20 minutes and rested on the sidelines.
“We continue to monitor him closely and Saturday’s training will decide. I have already spoken that no match is more valued than health of the player. Therefore, we shall respect whatever decision is called by the medical team,” Micho said of the Mamelodi Sundowns’ goalie, who saved a penalty in the first leg against the same opponents.
Comoros will train at Namboole on Saturday starting at 5 p.m
