After recruiting massively ahead of the new FUFA Big League season, Katale-Kamuli Park Football Club has been engaged in a series of friendly matches home and away.

The club which was previously featuring in the Kamuli District Regional League merged with Artland–Katale, formerly owned by city lawyer, Muhammed Bazirengedde.

Under a new management, the Kenneth Magada coached side eyes the first match of the season in the second highest league at home against seasoned Ndejje University.

Ndejje University by far remains the oldest club in the FUFA Big League since inception in 2010.

The Luwero outfit has also beefed up their squad with players as the experienced goalkeeper, Godwin Bule, a Uganda Premier League winner with Vipers and lately at Masavu last season.

Katale-Kamuli Park looks upon the fresh blood of Farouk Shaban, Hamza Kizza, Rajab Waiswa and Brian Luyuga among others for inspiration.

According to the club Public Relations Officer, Wilson Kantu, the club has evolved since being founded a couple of years ago.

We have been playing in the Regional League for a long time and many of the players have now matured.

Add to the fact that there some new players on board, our team has been prepared well with the various friendly matches in the pre-season

Katale-Kamuli Park played six friendly matches, losing two of them to Kirinya-Jinja S.S and Sadolin Paints, and as well winning the rest.

This very week, they revenged a 1-0 loss to Sadolin Paints at Bugembe with a familiar score in Kamuli – thanks to a well taken penalty by Farouk Shaban.
