The national second division football league, the FUFA Big League resumes on Saturday with four games on the menu.

Maroons Football Club who on Thursday played to a 2-2 draw at the re-greened Bar Okoro playground in Zombo district against Paidha Black Angels this time round are in Arua. They face debutant side Doves All Stars at the Barifa playground.

On match day one of the season, Doves All Stars won their opener 2-1 against against fellow debutants, Kyambogo who were promoted last season from the Kampala Region.

Lira based Bright Light host Moroto United at the Uganda Technical College playground as Paidha Black Angels will host Kyambogo in their second successive home game.

Both Maroons and Kyambogo are Kampala based clubs.

In the heart of the capital, Hope Doves entertain Water Football Club at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

On Sunday, there will be only one match to be played. Seasoned club, Ndejje University will be at home to Kira United at their main campus playground in Luwero.

Ndejje University kick started the new season on a sound note winning 1-0 away from home on Thursday against Artland-Kamuli Park at the Kamuli Municipal Council playground in Eastern Uganda. Bernard Katetemera scored the lone goal of the day in the 35th minute of the game for the visitors.

Promotion:

By the end of the season, three clubs will be promoted from the FUFA Big League to the Uganda Premier League.

The best performing club per group (Elgon and Rwenzori) qualify directly as the third is determined via a promotional play off.
