Uganda Cranes Upcoming Matches:

International Friendly Match (Tues, 4th October 2016): Togo Vs Uganda – Kegue Stadium, Lome

FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifier (Fri, 7th October 2016): Ghana Vs Uganda – Tamale

Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic is not bothered at the moment about the 2017 AFCON final draws.

But rather, the Serbian tactician is fully focused towards the strategies of picking a positive result away from home in the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Group E qualifier against Ghana Black Stars.

I am not thinking about the AFCON 2017 draws at the moment but I am focused towards the international friendly match with Togo and the FIFA World Cup qualifier with Ghana a few days later.

I start to think of the 2017 AFCON draws after 18 hours on Friday when our match with Ghana has ended.

Micho will name 30 players for the two up coming matches on Wednesday during a press conference at Mengo in Kampala.

A bulk of players who featured against Kenya and Comoros early this month will be maintained.

The coach’s major concern perhaps has been the limited playing time for the players since they returned to their respective clubs.

Only Dennis Onyango, Moses Oloya, Yunus Sentamu, Tonny Mawejje and Farouk Miya have managed playing time since the September 4th crucial match at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

Majority of the professionals will fly directly to Lome for the training camp set to start at the onset of October 2016.

This will be followed by an international build up with the West African country of Togo.

Meanwhile, the draws for the successful countries that qualified for the AFCON 2017 finals will be held on 19th October 2016.
