Day 2 leader: Dennis Anguyo [Scores: 71, 69 – Total Gross: 141]

Towering Uganda Golf Club Dennis Anguyo took a three stroke at the 2016 JBG Golf Open professional event climaxing on Saturday at Entebbe Golf Club.

To achieve the feat, the calm long hitter scored 2 under-par-69 on day two to dethrone the opening round one joint leaders – Fred Wanzala and Deo Akope (the duo scored a course par score of 71 gross).

Wanzala and Phillip Kasozi chase for three (strokes) as they are both tied on 144 gross after two rounds.

Akope slipped to 145 total gross after two rounds, and shares the four slot with Jinja club’s Grace Ocici Onito, Robert Oluba and Saidi Shaban Mawa.

The professionals climax action on Saturday before rushing to Palm Valley for the independence day golf event.

Last year’s pro catergory was won by Herman Mutawe.

The professionals are vying for a total kitty of Shs15M before switching allegiance for the Independence Day golf tourney at the nearby Alkright Kakungulu Palm Valley Golf Course along Entebbe road.
