URA 3-1 Onduparaka

Peter Lwasa, Ronald Kigongo and Shafik Kagimu cancelled out an early Muhammad Shaban goal as URA rallied to beat visitors Onduparaka 3-1 at Lugazi.

The four time league champions who had gone four matches in succession without picking maximum points started on a bad note and conceded after just 15 minutes thanks to Shaban.

The striker netted his 6th and first away goal in the campaign to send the travelling fans into frenzy.

Lwasa made sure the game ended 1-1 at half time with a leveller, six minutes to the break and for the first time in the game, URA led when Kigongo scored in the 54th minute.

Kagimu, arguably the tax collectors’ best player this season put the icing on the cake with a 3rd goal in the 82nd minute to condemn the Caterpillars to their second defeat of the campaign.

The win, URA’s second in total and the first at home this season lifts the Tax men to 7th on the log with 12 points as Onduparaka drops to 8th with same points but superior goal difference.

The win will come as a relief to Kefa Kisala whose job is on the line for an indifferent start to the campaign.
