Sentah College continued with their dominance of the girls’ football in the Western Region.

The Mbarara based school humiliated Kisoro Young Stars 4-0 in the final of the girls category of the Western Region Airtel Rising Stars qualifiers at Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara.

This was during the climax of the 2016 nation wide regional qualifiers that ended with two combined regions – Kitara and Western.

Rebbecca Nassuna, Catherine Naggaddya, Raphealine Nakabubi and Marione Nakato were on target in the one sided fixture which they led 3-0 by the half time break.

We have been training so hard. Also, the players love what they are doing with passion. There is a lot to play for ahead of the national finals in Lira District.

At Sentah College, we offer bursaries to talented footballers and other sportsmen so that we can develop their talents and help them attain education as well.

Sentah College produced the Most Valuable Player of the tournament – Catherine Naggaddya from the Western Region girls’ category.

Also, Sentah College produced two of the Western Region girls’ top scorers in Marion Nakato and Rebbeca Nassuna who both scored two goals piece.

A bulk of Sentah College players were selected to represent the Western Region at the national finals in Lira at the end of the month.

Bukuku Girls Academy from Fort Portal beat Friends of Soccer in the Kitara Region girls final.

All the players from the respective regions will assemble in Lira for the national finals which will run from 27th to 30th October 2016.
