Western Region League 2015/16:
- Welden F.C 1-2 Ruhsere
Rushere Football Club defeated Welden 2-1 during the Western Regional League match played at the Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara town on Thursday.
This was the third loss for Welden in the opening three games of the season.
The Bwizibwera based club had earlier lost by the same margin to bitter rivals Sentah College and MSA Red Army.
With suspended head coach, Badru Ssenkayi, acting coach Muhammed Ddamba was in charge of Welden, a side owned by Yasin Mugabi.
Kawowo Sports has learnt a host of players lost morale when Ssenkayi was suspended and four of the players have since returned to the respective home areas.
Meanwhile, the Western Regional League will continue on Saturday and Sunday.
