International Friendly match: Tues, 8th November 2016

The Zambia national football team (Chipolopolo Stars) has arrived in the country on Sunday ahead of the international friendly match with Uganda Cranes slated on Tuesday.

The 30 man contingent arrived aboard Ethiopian Airlines and set foot at Entebbe International Airport at 12:30 p.m.

Head coach Wedson Nyirenda expects a great game on Tuesday;

Uganda Cranes is a top class quality team.

They have good players and will offer the kind of opposition we expect ahead of our next engagement in the FIFA  2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The Zambian team is accommodated at Hotel Africana in the heart of Kampala.

They are expected to conduct a last training session at Namboole stadium on Monday afternoon.

On Saturday, Zambia lost 1-0 to Zimbabwe Warriors in Harare, from where they will connect at Harare International Airport via the Addis Ababa stop over.

Few of the foreign based players on the Zambia team are expected in Uganda by Monday ahead of the international build up to be played on Tuesday at Namboole.

Zambia is preparing for their match with Morocco in the 2018 World Cup qualifier as the Uganda Cranes shall be warming up for the match against Congo Brazzaville.
