Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje has urged fans to show up at Namboole in large numbers when the team takes on Congo Brazzaville in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Iceland based also revealed that the team is in better position to pick their first three points of the campaign.

“We are so set,” said Mawejje. “When I look at the camp, the morale is good. We have trained well as team and ready to fight for all points,” he added.

I call upon fans to come in big numbers to support us as they have always done. We just promise to give them the best, the joy they deserve.

Mawejje made his national team debut 13 years ago against Mauritius and is fully aware of how much importance the 12th man plays in a game of football.

Uganda drew 1-1 with Ghana in their first game of the campaign while Congo lost at home to Egypt.
