Reigning Somalia national football league champions, Banadir F.C play Elman on Friday, 25th November 2016 in a league engagement.

Having won the opening game of the season against Mogadishu United 3-1, Banadir switches focus to their second game of the campaign in the Horn of Africa nation’s capital.

Coached by a Ugandan CAF ‘A’ licensed coach, Hussein Mbalangu, Banadir will look to the magic and play-making role of the reigning league footballer of the year in Somalia, Imam Kinene, another Ugandan.

Sharp forwards Maxmed Jeeyna and Nigerian import Maxwell Mustafah are two other potential weapons of mass destruction for Banadir.

Mbalangu has respect for Elman but has planned something special for the game;

Since I went to Somalia on 11th  May 2015, I have played every match like a cup final. Against Elman, I have a special strategy because I need the three points.

Banadir also won the Somalia Super Cup after overcoming Jeenyo.

Elman has some Ugandans like goalkeeper Sulait Luyima, Godfrey Sembatya and Abdul Ssebuliba.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
