2016 Corporate Beach soccer X-mas challenge:

Final: CAA ‘A’ 1 – 1 Harris International (Haris International won after a coin toss)

Haris International required a lucky coin toss to win the 4th edition of the Corporate Beach soccer championship at Lido beach in Entebbe on Saturday.

This was after normal time of the final game against Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) team A had ended one all and darkness had already set in by the time.

Phoebe Kutamba, one of the organizers explains the situation and events that led to the coin toss;

After the normal time of the finals with the scores tied at one all. The team went for penalties and still tied.

Since it was so dark, the two captains agreed to toss the coin to determine the winner.

We thank all the participating teams in the tournament

10 corporate organizations took part in the day long event that officially marked the end of the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) calendar for 2016.

A total of 102 goals were scored from the 20 games played right starting with the group stages to the final match.
