St. George 2-0 Wolayita Dicha
A goal in each half from Abubakar Sani and veteran Adane Girma for the record Ethiopia Premier League champions, St George ensured an easy ride past Wolayita Dicha on Saturday.
The victory came as a relief for the Addis Ababa based side that had been with out a win in their previous three league matches.
Against Wolayita Dicha at the Addis Ababa Stadium, spurred by a solid performance from Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Robert Odongkara and midfielder Yassar Mugerwa who featured for the entire duration of the game.
St. George now have 14 points, three ahead of Dedebit and Adama City (both on 11 points).
Dedebit will play Addis Ababa City on Sunday and Hawassa City shall play Adama City on the same day.
The Dedebit’s Getaneh Kebede is the current league top scorer with 6 Goals as Girma keeping up pace on four goals.
