Sakka Mpiima has promised to repay the faith vested in him by Police FC after the defender signed a two year deal at the club.

The right back is amongst the new signings at Cops and joins the side from KCCA after spending the first round of the 2016/17 Uganda Premier League season on loan at Proline.

“It’s a new chapter in my career,” Mpiima told Kawowo Sports. “I am delighted to sign with one of the most historical clubs in the country. Now is the time to repay their faith by fighting hard to take the side where it belongs,” he added.

The move re-unites Mpiima with his former coaches, Abdallah Mubiru and John Luyinda and this alone has delighted the former Kasasiro Captain.

I have worked with the coaches before and I must admit, they are among the best. It’s a delight to re-unite.

The right back who can also play at the heart of defence becomes the seventh new face at the 2005 champions that resumed training earlier this week ahead of the highly anticipated second half of the season.

Others are his former KCCA teammates Yasin Mugabi, Hakim Senkumba, Martin Mpuuga and Yasin Mugume.

Youngster Paul Willa as well left-back Brian Ochwo are also part of the new signings at Police.

Mubiru’s side lies fourth from bottom on the UPL table with 14 points after 15 games.
