- He is Soana’s third coach in the season after Ssimbwa and Ayiekoh
- He leaves JMC Hippos at the bottom of the Uganda Premier League
- Lutalo is the second coach to leave the Jinja based side in this campaign
Soana have replaced Sofapaka bound Sam Ssimbwa with George Lutalo.
Lutalo, who has been in charge of struggling Jinja Municipal Council Hippos, has signed a two year deal with the Kavumba side with an exception for renewal.
This was confirmed by the club chairman Obed Smart as he unveiled the former Police FC player.
“Lutalo is now our new coach for at least the next two years,” he told Kawowo Sports.
His appointment implies the rumours linking Ssimbwa with Sofapaka are now justified as he expected to take charge of the KPL side for a second stint in his career.
Lutalo becomes the third coach at the club in this season with Charles ‘Mbuzi’ Ayiekoh the first before Ssimbwa took charge.
Lutalo leaves JMC Hippos bottom of the log with no win after 15 games with just seven points and finds Soana 5th on the 16 team log with 23 points.
