Hassan Wasswa Mawanda leads the Uganda Cranes through training drills

One of the Uganda Cranes players heading for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals has acquired his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

The player is midfielder cum defender Hassan Wasswa Mawanda.

Wasswa left the country last week to complete paper work and final documentations at Nejmeh Football Club, a top flight side in Lebanon.

The dread-locked player has been featuring for Vipers Sports Club since August 2016 on a short term contract after leaving Al Shorta, a premier club in Iraq.

According to the latest Player Transform Matching System, Wasswa is now a player for Nejmeh F.C for a two year tenure.

He will join the Lebanese side in February 2017 shortly after the AFCON duty in Gabon with the Uganda Cranes.

Wasswa is among the 23 players selected by Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin Sredejovic to represent the country at the biennial footballing fiesta, where Uganda is making a return after a 38 year absence.
