URA head coach Kefa Kisala has said his side re-signed midfielder Saidi Kyeyune because they need him.
The midfielder was among the many players released by the club at the end of last season after his contract expired, but was re-signed on a two year deal three days ago from Proline
Speaking to Kawowo Sports, Kisala said: “We let him (Kyeyune) go because his contract expired and because there were a few complications at a time. I think he became a bit complacent and lost his competitive mind that’s why we let him go. He needed a new environment and challenge so he compares life at URA and elsewhere.
“No doubt he is a very good player any team would want him. That’s why we signed him because we need him in this team.
“He has been training very well. He looks to be in good shape and ready for the challenge.”
URA sit sixth in the league with 22 points, ten adrift of table leaders KCCA.
The side entertains bottom placed JMC Hippos on Tuesday, February 7 at Mehta Stadium, Lugazi when the league resumes.
