The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association has made changes in the National Team coaching department ahead of the Afrobasket qualifiers.

Uganda Christian University head coach Nick Natuhereza will take charge of the Women’s National Team, the Gazelles.

He takes over from KCCA Leopards and Nkumba Marines coach Timothy Odeke. Ali Mavita is maintained as the assistant coach.

Natuhereza has been handling the U-18 teams for both girls and boys. He handled the junior sides during the continental  championships last year in the Cairo and Kigali respectively.

The Gazelles team for the qualifiers that are due in Cairo, Egypt will be announced early next month

Meanwhile, Mandy Juruni is maintained as the Men’s and is assisted by Omar Barajab.
