Egypt towering defender Ahmed Hegazy remains a big doubt for the final against Cameroon due to a torn hamstring muscle.

AFCON 2017 final (Sunday, 5th February 2017): Egypt Vs Cameroon

With the team already battling a couple of injuries, Hegazy’s injury could be a set back for the side seeking their 8th title in as many years.

In case he fails the late fitness test, Ahly teammate Saad Samir is ready to take up the responsibility.

Meanwhile, Sporting Braga striker Ahmed Kouka sustained a pelvic injury and had been confirmed out.

He joins Marwan Mohsen (with a torn cruciate knee ligament) on the sidelines.

The good news though is that Arsenal midfielder Muhammed Elneny and left back Mohamed Abdel Shafi are back to the fold having rested the semi-final clash.

7 time AFCON victors, Egypt will take on 4 time winners Cameroon in Libreville at the Stade De L’Amitie on Sunday night.
