- Doves All Stars Vs Paidha Black Angles – Barifa Playground, Arua
- Moroto United Vs Kyambogo – Moroto Playground, Moroto
- Airtel Kitara Vs Boma Young – Boma Playground, Hoima
Mbarara based FUFA Big League side, Nyamityobora entertains bottom lagging Kataka Football Club from Mbale on Saturday in one of the four matches on the menu.
The fixture arrives barely 48 hours after Nyamityobora’s 2-0 loss to Masavu at the sandy Katabi Gombolola playground in Entebbe when they fell to Onesmas Andama and Dumba Sadala’s goals on Thursday.
Nyamityobora head coach, Charles Ayiekho Lukula who termed the away loss in Entebbe as tragic hopes to raise the bar this time round on home turf.
“We lost to Masavu but it is not yet over. It is not the end of the road because there are a number of games left on the fixture and we can still recover,” Ayiekho who resigned at Uganda Premier League side, Soana to take up the job noted.
Ayiekho is expected to ring a couple of changes from the side that started in Entebbe with gangly striker Elvis Zlatan Kiberu relegated to the bench as another wasteful crop of strikers Faizo Muwawu and Yusuf Abato maintain their berths.
Team skipper Douglas Muganga, the intelligent midfielder Yunus Kaddu, Shafiq Nana Kakeeto and goalie Chrispus Kusiima are also expected to take part.
Lameck Ebong and Ismail Kawawulo return to the fold in a match Nyamityobora requires maximum points.
They will however face another wounded lions in Kataka who also lost their last game 4-0 to Synergy at the Masaka Recreational Stadium on Thursday.
Derrick Onyai, Daniel Mugwanya and Peter Lusimbula are some of the star players on the Kataka team.
Kitara Derby:
In some of other matches, the Kitara region will witness the much hyped ‘Kitara derby’ when two clubs that host their games at the Boma ground, Airtel – Kitara and Boma Young lock horns.
The last time the two clubs faced off, Airtel Kitara won 1-0 on the day. Could it be a time for revenge from Boma Young or will AIrtel Kitara maintain the winning streak?
Moroto United will host Kyambogo in the battle of new comers in Moroto as Doves All Stars will play Paidha Black Stars at the Barifa play ground in Arua.
Three clubs get promoted to the Uganda Premier League.
The top team per group are promoted directly with the third one determined via a promotional playoff.
