Georges Leekens, who recently resigned as head coach for the Algeria Desert Foxes has been named among the 8 shortlisted for Rwanda National Football team head coach job.

This was confirmed by the Rwanda Football Federation.
52 applicants had showed interest for the Men’s Senior National Team Head Coach position.
After the pre-selection process held at FERWAFA headquarters, the candidates who made it to the shortlist include; Antoine Hey (Germany), Georges Leekens (Belgium), Jose Rui Lopes Aguas (Portugal), Paul Put (Belgium), Peter James Butler (England), Winfried ‘Winni’ Schafer (Germany), Raoul Savoy (Switzerland) and Samson Siasia (Nigeria).
The new head coach for Rwanda will be communicated in the coming fortnight after the 8 have been all interviewed to pick the suitable person.
