Ahead of their highly anticipated clash with KCCA in the second leg of the CAF Champions League pre-group stage, Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Pitso Mosimane isn’t bothered by the hosts’ brilliant home record.

The Kasasiro enjoy a perfect record at Lugogo since the installation of the astro-turf was completed.

“We are not here to break their unbeaten record,” Pitso told the press after his side’s first training session at Lugogo. “Remember, we can still fail to win but go through and that’s our main target. Not to break their record,” he added.

“Zamalek were unbeaten for years in Cairo and so is ES Sentif in Sentif but we went there and did well, so no worries.”

The African champions were dominant in the first leg seven days ago but only won 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Satdium leaving the tie evenly poised.

But Pitso says his team has the experience and quality to pull themselves out with a decent result that will see them qualify for the group stages.

“We should have won with more goals but that’s football. But we are confident in our abilities to finish off the job here.”

The PSL and African coach of the year mocked the facility; the Phillip Omondi stadium is but then said.

“We didn’t expect to find a facility we have in South Africa here. That’s being realistic. We didn’t expect a stadium with stands like Lucas Moripe or Versfield. And so we can’t use it as an excuse.

A draw will be enough for the Sundowns to advance while KCCA need to win at least 1-0 to qualify for the group stages.
