KCCA start life minus Joseph Ochaya when they travel to Kavumba for a date against bogey side, Soana on Tuesday afternoon.
The left fullback cum wing back was officially sold to Zambia’s Lusaka Dynamos and his last game for the club came in the 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF champions League close two weeks ago.
Speaking to the press ahead of the duel, KCCA skipper Denis Okot said Ochaya will be missed but admits they have to move on as a team.
“He is been very instrumental for us but that’s football,” said Okot. “We have to move on as we have able replacements to fill the void,” he added.
For assistant manager Morley Byekwaso, the club has three options at the position that Ochaya that had made his own.
“The young Mustafa Kizza can play there, we have a senior player in Isaac Muleme and also Habib Kavuma can play in that position,” said Byekwaso.
Second on the log with 3 points adrift of log leaders SC Villa, who have played four more games, KCCA have a chance to reclaim top spot with victory over Soana, 9th with 26 points from 20 games.
The hosts who are currently in poor form will rely on the goal scoring instincts of Francis Olaki and Frank Kalanda plus Baker Lukooya and Allan Kayiwa.
For the visitors, who are winless in their previous two visits to Soana at Kavumba, they will look to Paul Mucureezi, Muzamiru Mutyaba and Geoffrey Sserunkuma for inspiration.
