KCCA coach Mike Mutebi didn’t name midfielder Ivan Ntege and striker Robert Ssentongo on the 18-man squad for the clash against Egypt’s Al Masry on Saturday.

The Kasasiro visit the Egyptian side in the final leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoff with the aggregate winner reaching the group stages of the second most lucrative club competition on the continent.

Leading 1-0 courtesy of a Derrick Nsibambi goal, the reigning Ugandan champions will have to do without Ntege, Ssentongo and Vincent Kayizzi for the clash in Ismailia.

Unlike the former two, Ntege has been pivotal in all of KCCA’s continental duels and only sat out entirely for the game against Mamelodi Sundowns which they drew 1-1 to bow out of the CAF Champions League.

Mutebi is confident of getting a result in Egypt that will take the team to the next level and insists they are not going to defend but attack their opponents.

“We are not going to Egypt to defend the first leg score,” he said. “We shall always play our way which is to use the ball smartly and create chances,” he added.

The Ugandan side has lost their previous away trips on the continent 2-1, a result that will suit them on Saturday if they achieve it.
