Vipers Coach Jorge Miguel Duarte Da Costa described his players as ‘fantastic’ in the aftermath of a 2-1 win over KCCA and it’s the win for them and the fans.

The two time champions rallied to beat the reigning champions at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo thanks to goals from Tony Odur and youngster Geoffrey Wasswa.

“When I came here, I told you I have the best players in the world,” a delighted Da Costa told the media in a post-match briefing.

This win is for the players win, not me. They deserve and those fans that pushed the team.

Zagga and Wasswa receive special praises

The Portuguese who admitted that this was his first win in charge of the club hailed youngsters Geoffrey Wasswa and Frank ‘Zagga’ Tumwesigye who put up a brilliant show against odds.

They have been fantastic. But I can say every player has been fantastic. I want to see Zagga on over four pages. Zagga Zagga Zagga Zagga everywhere.

The win puts Vipers six points behind the leading pack in KCCA and SC Villa who are tied on 48 points although the Kasasiro have one and two games in hand over Vipers and Villa respectively.
