Nkumba University’s Sharif Kimbowa scored a hat-trick in his side’s 4-1 victory against Kumi University in the University Football League.

The visitors fell to Jerome Kateo’s 6th minute penalty in the opening stages of the game.

Patrick Ssebuliba’s Nkumba University thus recovered with two perfect strikes in either halves.

Fred Gwoto found the equalizer in the 25th minute before Kimbowa ran rout with the hat trick in the 34th, 51st and 76th minutes.

This was Nkumba University second victory of the campaign following a convincing 4-0 home win against St Lawrence University.

Now Nkumba University leads with 7 points having played to a goalless draw against MUBS at Nakawa a fortnight ago.

The league resumes on Sunday when Bugema hosts Gulu University in Bugema.
