Mujib Kasule admitted his Proline side were the fortunate party during their 2-1 victory over Bul on Tuesday at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Forward Daniel Isiagi Opolot came on as a second half substitute to score the winner as Proline beat Bul who had Yunus Sibira cancel Nelson Senkatuka’s ninth goal of the campaign
Despite leaving Lugogo empty handed, Bul were the better side especially in the second half, and Kasule thinks his charges were lucky to escape with the three points.
“In football, there is what we call luck. There’s always that lucky team in a game and I think today we were that team. We were very lucky to win this game,” Kasule admitted after the game.
Proline were kept busy for larger periods of the second half and only had their goalkeeper Saidi Keni to thank for victory. The custodian made a series of amazing saves to deny their opponents any chance of victory.
Kasule praised his number one shot-stopper saying: “He has not done that, [saving us] only today. Keni has saved us many times this season and he was exceptional again. He was the difference today and to be honest if it weren’t for him, the game probably wouldn’t have ended in our favour.”
The win was Proline’s seventh of the campaign and it kept them eighth in the league.
