Express FC seek a return to winning ways when they host Proline at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The two face off on Tuesday with the Red Eagles now three matches without picking maximum points after winning four in a row.

Matia Lule’s side drew 1-1 with URA, lost 1-0 to KCCA and most recently narrowly missed on picking a point against Onduparaka with a last gasp Fahad Toha goal in Arua.

“We have lost two games in a row but we have been fighting to overcome the situation,” said Lule. “We have prepared well and will try our level best to win,” he added.

The six-time champions who start life minus departed team captain Ibrahim Saddam Juma drew 1-1 with Proline in the reverse fixture at Lugogo and Lule says it will be tough against a good coach in Mujib Kasule.

They have a very good coach in Kasule and also a very competitive team. We respect them for that and will treat the game as serious but target all points.

Without Saddam, Simon Sserunkuma and Allan Kyambadde will be tasked to carry the burden while Noah Ssemakula is expected to be the midfield gem’s perfect replacement.

Proline, who drew 1-1 with Bright Stars in their last game, will rely on the goal scoring form of striker Nelson Ssenkatuka for goals with skipper Gift Ali doing the job in midfield.

Former Express FC midfielder Sam ‘Tiyo’ Kintu remains a big doubt for the game just as Joshua Okiror.

The hosts are 5th on the table with 40 points while the visitors are five points adrift in 8th place on the 16-team log.
