All is set for 5th Mihingo Marathon and Mountain Bike race

2017 Mihingo Marathon & Mountain bike race:

• Saturday, 10^th June 2017
• Lake Mburo National Park, Mbarara

Preparations for the 5^th edition of the annual Mihingo Marathon and Mountain Bike race are in a high gear.

The marathon and mountain bike event is scheduled for Saturday 10th June 2017, near the eastern boundary of Lake Mburo National Park.

This spectacular Event will have both Running and Mountain biking races for individuals, families and teams.

According to the organizer, Alex Mubiru, under Activate Uganda all the proceeds raised will be channeled towards the local communities around Lake Mburo to reduce human wildlife conflict.

All funds raised will be used by Mihigo Conservation Foundation to reduce the human-wildlife conflict around Lake Mburo and link communities to the benefits of living alongside wildlife.

Registration for this race and mountain event is at Banana Boat – Kisementi with a 31^st May 2017 deadline.

Fun Run Race Distances and Fees:

For the 5km fun run or walk, adults will part with $30 and $20 for children under 15 years.

Under the 10km run, it will be $40 and $20 for the adults and children respectively.

The mountain bike race, 21km and 42km shall go for $40 only.

This event shall be held for the 5^th year running.
