Bul eased their relegation worries last week with victory over Sadolin Paints and they have an opportunity to seal safety with win over Soana when they meet on Tuesday at Kavumba Recreational Ground.
After being involved in the relegation dog fight all season, Bul have been rising above the table in recent weeks, and they ascended to tenth with a commanding victory over local rivals Sadolin Paints.
It was a tough assignment considering the Painters were fighting for their lives too, but the side delivered one of their remarkable performances of the season, scoring four goals for the first time this season to take all the three points.
A similar display tomorrow will be enough to save the season with a game spare, but Soana won’t roll over as they attempt to finish strongly in the league.
Bul have a better head to head against their Tuesday opponents but have lost their last two games to the Kavumba side. Soana took maximum points last term against Bul as they edged the tie 1-0 in the first round at Kakindu Stadium before thumping the side 5-2 in the reverse fixture.
Heading into the encounter, both coaches are upbeat and are looking at the three points. Alex Iasbirye who comes up against his former pay masters and a team from his homeland is not willing to offer a helping hand in their opponent’s relegation fight as he’s looking at securing maximum points to help earn a decent finish in the league.
Peter Onen on the other side says his side is ‘psychologically and physically’ ready for the game and is looking at nothing other than the three points. He says this will be the turning point for his side.
He is right as all Bul need to do tomorrow is beat Soana to confirm safety with one more game to go.
