Bokota Labama Kamana scored URA’s winner to dent Bright Stars’ hopes of survival going into the last game.

The Congolese born ex-Rwandan international netted in the 36th minute – the only goal of the tense game at Mehta Grounds, Lugazi.

The hosts started better but failed to breakdown Fred Kajoba’s resilient side until Kamana broke the deadlock.

There was drama at the half time whistle as Kajoba nearly grabbed centre referee Mashood Ssali for what he labeled as biased officiating.

The Uganda Cranes goalkeeping tactician didn’t return to the technical bench as teams retreated from the change rooms and there was no change on the score board as the Tax Collectors ended their five match winless streak against the Kawempe based side.

The win takes URA to 48 points but stay fourth, a point behind third placed Vipers who lost to SC Villa 1-0 in Masaka on the same day.

Bright Stars are 12th with 31 points, just two above the relegation zone.
