Club Africain Coach Chiheb Ellili admitted his side didn’t deserve to win after many mistakes against KCCA.

The former African champions lost 2-1 to the Ugandan side at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo despite taking a 19th minute lead through Mokhtar Belkhither.

“It is disappointing we lose because we are looking for first position,” Chiheb said in a post-match press conference. “But good thing is that we have games at home. We will try to win them all and get some outside,” he added.

We made too many mistakes and we were not good on second balls and we were punished.

Asked whether he had picked out a player from the Kasasiro that tormented his side, the former Carthage Eagles defender said it was team effort.

I think they played as a unit and it’s difficult to pick out a particular player. Like I said before the game, they are spirited and aggressive and displayed that. Their British style of play gave us a challenge.

Club Africain’s next challenge is back to back matches against FUS Rabat of Morocco in June.
