Golf Caddies Tournament: 29th May 2017

Mondays are days specially reserved for golf caddies across the country to further harness and polish up their golfing skills.

The Monday of 29th May 2017 will be one unique one for golf caddies at the various clubs in the country.

On the day, there is a special tournament planned for the caddies at the Lake side Entebbe club.

The main contest is expected between caddies from Entebbe and Uganda Golf Clubs.

Other caddies from Namulonge, Palm valley, Toro, Kinyara, Mehta and Jinja clubs are also expected to take part.

According to the Entebbe Golf Club professional, Dickson Lagoro, himself a former caddie at the club, a large field of over 80 players are expected to grace the day long event.

The chief organizer and coordinator of the tourney, Brian Kamoga expects a great event.

In an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports, Kamoga says close to 45 caddies have so far confirmed from Kampala and a similar number from the host club, Entebbe.

We expect to have a great event. The mode of play will be match play with the earliest tee-off set for 8 a.m. Green fees are fixed at Ug. Shs10,000.

Key actors:

Others shall be Cockas Elugant, Sam Wambi, John Bosco Ssendagala and Sunday Herbert.

The ladies shall include; fast improving Resty Nalutaaya, Hadijah Nampijja, Prudence Nimukama, Catherine Kwagala  and Regina Namata.

Prizes Categories:

There are three categories of prizes. The winning club will smile home with a trophy.

There is a contest for the longest drive and nearest to the pin for both gender.

Meanwhile, a football match has been also included to spice up the day.

This will be the last event on the day.
