KITARA REGION (ALBERTINE GROUP) ZONAL MINI LEAGUE:
Final:
- Booma 0 (1) – 0 (3) Doves

Masindi based Doves made history when they became the first club from the region to win the Albertine region zonal mini league.
Having played one season in the district fourth division in Masindi, the club made the grade to the regional league.
During the final – they won 3-1 on post match penalties against another Masindi entity, Booma after a goal-less draw in normal time, Doves became champions in the three day tournament played at Masindi stadium.
Doves head coach Hesbon Mundia, a former player noted that the victory was a sweet revenge against a club that had defeated them 3-0 during the second round of the district league.
He also attributed their success to the many friendly matches they held in Hoima and Kirynadongo before the kick-off of the league.
Mundia noted;
We had enough preparations and they have paid off
Julius Mugisa the director of the club spoke of their vision;
We want to qualify for the FUFA Big league and finally make it to the top flight league.
All the clubs which played in the quarter finals qualified automatically to play in the Kitara regional league Albertine group.
Eric Abagigaba of Doves was the tournament’s top scorer with five goals.
