With over 24 hours to kick off, KCCA manager Mike Mutebi has revealed the 18-man squad for the game.

There are not many surprises besides the inclusion of on form Vincent Kayizzi who has of recent been overlooked for continental fixtures.

Kayizzi, who put up a man of the match performance against Express missed the 3-0 away loss to Morocco’s FUS Rabat and wasn’t named in the team for the 2-1 victory over Club Africain.

Brian Majwega, Robert Ssentongo and Nigerian Sulaimon Akinyemi are the experienced players to miss out from the squad.

Also left out is right back Denis Rukundo who started in the win over Club Africain but midfielder Muzamiru Mutyaba as well as defender Timothy Awany are back in the team.

Mutyaba has had a long term injury but returned against Express FC whilst Awany missed the goalless second leg Uganda Cup semi-final against the Red Eagles at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

Julius Poloto, Lawrence Bukenya and Allan Okello are all in the squad for the must win clash.

How will Mutebi line up his charges?

Basing on the training sessions, practice match and the friendly against Uganda Cranes, the surprise in Mutebi’s starting lineup maybe the experienced Kayizzi.

The former Vipers and Express’ winger will most likely feature as a right wingback which is why Rukundo has been dropped.

That means that as usual, Ochan starts in goal with Paul Musamali, Denis Okot and Timothy Awany as the back three.

Isaac Muleme and Kayizzi to play as the wingbacks on the left and right respectively with Tom Masiko and Muzamiru Mutyaba in central midfielder and Allan Okello playing just behind the two forwards in Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Derrick Nsibambi.

The Projected Lineup:

Benjamin Ochan (GK), Denis Okot (C), Timothy Awany, Paul Musamali, Vincent Kayizzi, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Tom Masiko, Allan Okello, Derrick Nsibambi, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Muleme Isaac

Substitutes:

Douglas Kisembo (GK), Habib Kavuma, Julius Poloto, Paul Mucureezi, Ivan Ntege, Isaac Kirabira and Lawrence Bukenya.
