CAF Champions League (Group B):
- Zamalek (Egypt) 1-1 USM Alger (Algeria)
- Caps United (Zimbabwe) 2-4 Ahly Tripoli (Libya)
Zambian striker Emmanuel Mayuka scored at the death as Egyptian club Zamalek earned a point Algerian side USM Alger in the CAF Champions League at Borg El Arab Stadium.
The visitors scored through Farouk Charfai as they led the match for almost the entire duration.
Deep in the second stanza of the game, coach Augusto Inacio introduced Mayuka, who has been condemned for his weight of late.
In added time, the former Metz and Southampton forward restored the coach’s faith with the strike as they stay top of the group.
Meanwhile, the other Group B encounter between Zimbabwe’s CAPS United and Libya’s Ahly Tripoli ended in a 4-2 victory for the latter at the National stadium in Harare.
Sameh Derbali got a double before Salem Ablo and Muaid Salam completed the goals for the visitors.
Ronald Pfumbidzai (penalty) and Hardlife Zvirekwi’s 90th minute penalty were the consolation strike for the home side.
From the three games played apiece, Zamalek leads with 5 points.
Al Ahly Tripoli and USM Alger both have 4 points as Zimbabwe outfit CAPS United has three points from their only victory of the campaign so far.
