Uganda Cranes forward Faruku Miya has returned to Standard Liege after a successful loan stint at Royal Excel Mouscron.

According to his official agents Nicolas Onissé and Youcef Boudjema of One & Company, Miya is back for the pre-season training with Liege.

“He (Faruku Miya) is back at Standard Liege and already training with the rest of the players ahead of the new season,” Onisse disclosed to Kawowo Sports.

Miya joined Standard Liege from Vipers Sports Club in January 2016 shortly after the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament in Rwanda.

After struggling for playing time, he was loaned out to Royal Excel Mouscron in February 2017 until May.

The attacking midfielder, despite struggling for playing time in Belgium has always starred well for the national team and is expected to command playing time than before.
