Mbarara City Football Club has completed the signing of midfielder Pistis Barenge from Vital’O of Burundi.

The Burundian midfielder signed a two-year contract for Mwine Mpaka’s owned side before he was officially unveiled on Friday.

Barenge becomes sixth signing for the club christened as the ‘Ankole Lions’.

The club PRO Mike Ddungu confirmed the development. “We are glad to announce the arrival of Pistis Barenge from Burundi. He brings a wealth of experience to the club and he is welcome to the family at Mbarara City Football Club,” Ddungu noted.

He joins Congolese winger Swed Satugombo , former Mbarara FC right back Zaidi Byekwaso, Francis Mustafa, Harishe Asuman Kihogo and Fred Kalanzi.

The club which was promoted last season recently hosted Express at Kakyeeka Stadium, winning the game 1-0.
