When KCCA Football Club clinched their first ever domestic double and played in the group stage of the CAF club competitions for the first time, numerous stake holders kept a keen eye.

Players, fans, administrators and club sponsors had a reason or two to smile.

World over, the success of a football team reciprocates dividends in the short or long term.

KCCA’s fruits were instant.

On Friday, the Lugogo based club acquired yet their 5th partner on board in Mobile Telecom Network with Shs1.29 billion offer over the next three years.

During a well attended press conference in Kampala, the telecom company’s CEO Wim Vanhelleputte strongly asserted they believe in promoting the winning culture.

We strongly believe in leadership and winning.

As a brand, we love football. Such a partnership is the right thing to do at this material time. I also take this opportunity to congratulate Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Mike Mutebi as player and coach of the year respectively.

We are confident of KCCA. We are working with a proven brand.

Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Jenifeer Ssemakula Musisi expressed gratitude by the offer unveiled.

“We thank the new sponsors. We have been with them in improving health. We have proved that the club is a strong successive brand. Football is a desirable profession. We plan for the best stadium. Only the best is good enough. We shall make use of the money,” Musisi remarked.

As the commercial agreement, part of the money from the partners will be channeled to branding on match tickets, stadium, playing jerseys, public engagement and stadium completion.

The event was also graced by the out-going chairperson, Julius Kabugo, acting CEO Josephine Namukisa, manager Mike Mutebi, club captain Denis Okot and another player Dennis Rukundo.

Musisi hinted of the club’s pipeline agenda of establishing a high class gym facility, affluent medical insurance, improved terms in players’ employment contracts, medical insurance among other aspects.

KCCA F.C will against represent the country in the CAF Champions League for the season 2018.
