St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende will host the CHAN 2018 qualifiers between Uganda and Rwanda Kawowo Sports has learnt.

Uganda Cranes play the first leg of the competition on the weekend of August 11-13, 2017 before the return leg in Kigali a week later.

Though no communication has been made to this effect, a source close to the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) revealed, preferring anonymity.

“The decision has made and St. Mary’s stadium will host the game against Rwanda,” revealed a source.

“But we wait for the official communication in regards to the matter.”

The national team hosted their previous home match in the competition at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo, home to KCCA.

The only international game hosted at the stadium was the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup match between Vipers and Platinum Stars of South Africa.

However, despite being arguably the best stadium in the country bar Namboole, they are yet to host a national team game.
