Moses Magogo will steer the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for another four-year term, his second in office at the helm of the football management in Uganda.

Magogo was voted unopposed and only required 51% majority votes from the 88 delegates expected.

Of these, only 83 attended the elective congress held in Masindi at Kabalega Resort Hotel, Kitara region.

Djibouti F.A President also the Chairperson of the CAF Referees Committee Hassan Waberi and CECAFA Life member Leodgar Tenga graced the 93rd FUFA Assembly as special guests.

Waberi represented the CAF President Ahmad Ahamad as Tenga represented the FIFA president, Gianni Infantino.

During the well-attended day long gathering, 72 delegates cast their votes via secret ballot. Magogo tallied 69 votes. One vote was against and 2 invalid.

In his acknowledgment speech, Magogo appreciated the voters, Ex-internationals and the team he has been working with;

We have proven what we promised  4 years ago has been achieved. We have over delivered. We always certain of the support and it was only today to prove it. I am very grateful for the support from the football people especially the delegated.

The focus is commercialization to generate more resources.

We are now tasking ourselves to see that one of the performance indicators is to improve the FUFA budget to Shs17Billion from Shs6billion today.

The other election on the day witnessed the voting of Express Football Club chairperson Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, also the Minister of State for Youth and Children affairs as the 3rd vice president.

Nakiwala tallied 64 votes, 7 were against and 1 invalid.

“This is victory for Express Football Club family. I am happy to come and serve football,” Nakiwala said after being voted.

On the approved Executive committee, Magogo maintained Justus Mugisha and Darius Mugoye as the first and second vice presidents respectively.

Nakiwala is the third Vice president (in charge of Uganda Premier League clubs).

Notably missing on the old executive is the Samuel duo of Mpiima and Lwere, Bernard Patrick Ogwel as well as Dennis Ssebugwawo Mbidde.

The new faces on the 2017-2021 FUFA Executive include; Mukiidi Kalyebala (North), Issa Magoola (Eastern) and Hajji Abdul Lukooya (Buganda).

The six maintained members are; Rogers Byamukama (Kitara Region), Rasoul Ariga (West Nile), Kirizesitom Kalibala (Western Region), Richard Ochom (North East Region), Hamid Juma (Kampala Region) and Agnes Mugena (North East Region).

The new team starts official work on 31st August 2017.
