Sports Club Villa Jogoo left footed midfielder Martin Kizza is back to the Uganda Cranes fold.

The player left early last month for a training stint with Serbian side Subotica Football Club where he failed to impress.

He was welcomed with open hands by the interim coaches Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba, and started training with the rest of the teammates on Monday and also took part in the Tuesday morning session.

“There are new players. We have a pool of players for the national team and Kizza is one of them,” Basena explained Kizza’s presence on the current team.

He brings competition to the team especially the left flank department where there is John Adriko as well as Isaac Muleme and Shafiq Kagimu who started at left back and attack respectively.

The Uganda Cranes team will resume training on Wednesday at Lugogo to acclimatize to the synthetic surface as that of the Kigali Regional Stadium, the match venue.
